In life some individuals think all you require in life to outlive and be cheerful is take pleasure in, but others thinking that cash is the answer to life's problems. In the stories " The Necklace” and " The Gift from the Magi” this portrays the lives of two main characters that deal with concerns of their own. 1 dong it of love, plus the other for greed.

Within just both reports there are many differences and commonalities that cope with how they handle their conditions.

In the tale " The Necklace” the primary character, Mathilda Losisel, is unhappily wedded to a attendant, and is ungrateful of the life she is living. She believes that the lady deserves to become living a better lifestyle, and this materialistic things and expensive things can make her completely happy rather than appreciate. Mathilda is definitely invited to the ball at first of the story, and immediately she transforms selfish and wants her husband to obtain the things the lady desires on her behalf ball. Her husband will try everything he can to make sure you his partner in every approach that he could do to try to help to make her completely happy. Not once in the history did the lady say thank you for her husband's work because the lady wasn't thankful for what he previously done on her behalf. She also borrows an expensive necklace around your neck from one of her pals. As she was running away on the ball, she did not when think about her husband. The girl was narrower on the fact men and women were offering her attention. Later on in the story Mathilda loses the necklace, and her husband does almost everything he can to get it back. This individual ended up getting money to acquire a brand new diamond necklace, but had to pay off bills he had from raising that money by simply working it off and Mathilda has to work this off as well. Because of Mathilda's greed and ignorance it had lead her to the scenario of financial debt she was in. Throughout the account she only worried about herself rather than considering how much hard work her husband was carrying out to making her happy.
