Accounting teachers often knowledge frustration when confronted by plagiarism in student assignments. Also, they face difficulty confirming and demonstrating cases of plagiarism. Pupils have more and more found it easier to plagiarize assignments due to digitization in education. Instructors face an important pedagogical obstacle due to digitization based plagiarism. Digitization, however , provides instructors with equipment to address this issue. This paper showcases 3 tried and tested strategies built into schedule software to recognize and detect plagiarism in spreadsheet centered assignments. The first method is a manual method of concealing unique indicators in files sent to learners. The second approach involves covering a solution that can observe plagiarism much more detail. The 3rd method runs on the program code to track issues related to authorship of projects. These methods along with a compiled list of tactics discussed with this paper can help reduce stealing subjects. Published by Elsevier Limited.

1 . Introduction

The purpose of a university should be to impart understanding and assess student learning. However , plagiarism1 compromises the assessment process and poises modern digital pedagogy. Although plagiarism has become plaguing the teaching occupation for some time, digital technologies decrease the obstacles to

cheating (Etter, Cramer, & Finn, 2006). Cheating on projects is progressively taken for granted and so threatens educational integrity (McLafferty & Foust, 2004). Extant research is full with evidence of digital cheating (Etter ain al., 2006; Jones, Reid, & Bartlett, 2005; Molnar, Kletke, & Chongwatpol, 2008). The same is a case with accounting college students (Abdolmohammadi & Baker, 2007; Morris & Kilian, 2006).

Plagiarism produces obvious difficulties with fairness and undermines assessment of students' abilities. Repeated plagiarism could also lead to dishonest behavior following graduation (Abdolmohammadi & Baker, 2007). The onus is with the trainer not only to guarantee integrity from the assessment yet also to hold the burden of proof once plagiarism happens. This daily news outlines methods for detecting plagiarism in chart based tasks which could give the trail of evidence to get backing up the plagiarism claims. One-way to tackle a defieicency of plagiarism is to create methods that increase the likelihood of detection and make students aware of the possibility of becoming detected. 1 . 1 .
